Through this immersive experience, you will learn:
Anatomical and Physiological Changes During Pregnancy:
Understanding the body’s shifts, including pelvic floor changes, center of gravity adjustments, and the impact of hormones like relaxin.
Posture Types and Their Impact on Pregnancy:
Identifying and addressing kyphotic, lordotic, sway back, and flat back postures, and how to modify exercises accordingly.
Safe Exercise Progressions and Regressions:
Techniques for adjusting load, pace, range of motion, and leverage to accommodate each trimester.
Core and Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation:
Teaching gentle abdominal reconnection and pelvic floor strengthening to prevent diastasis recti and support recovery.
Precautions and Contraindications for Each Trimester:
Recognizing when certain exercises are not suitable, including deep abdominal work, heavy leg/footwork, and inversions.
Postpartum Recovery:
Techniques to support the healing process, focusing on muscle endurance, joint stability, and gradual strengthening.
Modifications for Comfort and Safety:
Positioning and prop use for both pre- and post-natal clients to ensure comfort and safety during sessions.
